Trials of the Seven Heroes
Formerly, and still technically, the ruler of the Eight Worlds. Now a statue, looking much as he did in life, only made of translucent golden matter. Sometimes he is called the Golden King for this reason. He was created as one of the Eight Heroes, from the matter and essence of the Ebony Queen, and grew up in Capitol, though he adventured often from there into other worlds. During his early life, many of the paths to more distant lands were closing up and vanishing, and by the time he was king, only the core of eight worlds remained, the strongest worlds as they had been for many years. He travelled into lands which are now forgotten or inaccessable, and returned to declare himself King, possessed of great power. Of all his “siblings” only one survived as long as he did, The Master. The Topaz King stands in his throne hall, on a dias just beside his throne, one hand raised slightly from his side, as he was at a very moment when he was seized by whatever effect gradually transformed him. The Seven Heroes were made from his essence, combined with that of the Eight Worlds (one, the child of Dune, failed to take.) He had by his long-dead wife three actual children, the Royal Children, and several grandchildren, many of whom have ambitions of their own.
